Since 1963, MIRUC OPTICAL CO.,LTD. have been manufacturing optical peripheral and special equipment to cater both research and industrial needs of visual magnification with measurement capabilities in Japan. Miruc's stage is a platform below the objective which supports the specimen being viewed. In the center of the stage is a hole through which light passes to illuminate the specimen. 

At magnifications higher than 100× moving a slide by hand is not practical. A mechanical stage, typical of medium and higher priced microscopes, allows precision movements of the slide via control knobs that reposition the sample/slide as desired. If your microscope did not originally have a mechanical stage it may be possible to add Miruc Thin XY Rotational Stage XYR Series. With its rotational function and easy tuning with milimeter measurement. Combination with various Miruc's dovetail stage, adds Miruc Thin XY Rotational Stage XYR Series functionality to straight forward sliding, enabling positioning from any angle also unlock many other application.

Miruc Thin XY Rotational Stage XYR Series are fabricated with aluminium alloy and matte black alumite surface treatment for durability in applications and high precision tuning. The stage is built 30% thinner than conventional combinations. Miruc Thin XY Rotational Stage XYR Series with its disk-shaped, compact and multi-functional stage allow users to rotate work pieces and slide along the X and Y axis. Many users are using Miruc Thin XY Rotational Stage XYR Series in the field of metallurgical inspection, biology, micro precision machining, mould making and maintenance which requires micron precision observation.

Notes:

Focusing starts at lower magnification in order to center the specimen by the user on the stage. Moving to a higher magnification requires the stage to be moved higher vertically for re-focus at the higher magnification and may also require slight horizontal specimen position adjustment. Horizontal specimen position adjustments are the reason for having a Miruc Thin XY Rotational Stage XYR Series.
