Widia Induction Shrink Fit Unit works by using the principle of safe and controlled induction heat from the shrink fit machine itself while expands the inside diameter of the tool holder bore so the tool shank can be inserted easily. This practical device combine both 4 bar (90 psi) air pressure inputs and dedicated coolant sprayer to cool down and contracts the bore to hold the tool with up to 44482.22 Newton of force to grip with extremely rigid and well balanced connection between the colletes and cutting bit.

  • The axial or feed force acts in the longitudinal direction. It is also called the feed force because it is in the feed direction of the tool. This force tends to push the tool away from the chuck.
  • The radial or thrust force acts in the radial direction and tends to push the tool away from the workpiece.
