Widia Induction Shrink Fit Unit is devised to help you set up and exchange cutting tools from its collete holders faster and safer. As you do a high speed, or high torque machining you are likely to encounter difficulties in centering and exchanging the tools manually, even more with its chips and sharp swarf from used toolling bit which may injure your operator. You can work on set up routines with maximum toolholder length, from gage line 290mm (11-3/8"). You do not need higly qualified operator to work with this machine. You can say goodbye to jigs and malicious fixture with high deflection risk.

Widia Induction Shrink Fit Unit works by using the principle of safe and controlled induction heat from the shrink fit machine itself while expands the inside diameter of the tool holder bore so the tool shank can be inserted easily. Unlike other shrink fit machine which uses air compressor input, this practical device has air cooling fan which will cool down and contracts the bore to hold the tool. Widia's compact set up machine offer up to 44482.22 Newton of force to grip any tooling bit with extremely rigid and well balanced connection with the colletes.

  • The radial or thrust force acts in the radial direction and tends to push the tool away from the workpiece.
