Maykestag Dies For Metric ISO-threads conforms with DIN 13, DIN ISO 228 and ANSI B 1.1

Maykestag Tapper Dies are made of high quality Austrian HSS which produces higher toughness, hardness and bending strength. Maykestag Tapper Die is manufactured with the most up-to-date metallurgic infuser technology for your stability and wear resistance. The Maykestag's optimised tool geometry provides higher tool stability (even in unstable working conditions) and a higher surface quality of the material to be machined. With its 60° angle thread provide a clean and efficient metal removal with higher accuracy. Depends on the model, Maykestag Tapper Die is highly recommended for making various fastener or tappered bolt conforms with DIN 13, DIN ISO 228 and ANSI B 1.1 standard. 

In fabrication of critical tap, a cylindrical blank, which is usually slightly less than the required diameter, is machined with a taper (chamfer) at the threaded end. This chamfer allows the die to ease onto the blank before it cuts a sufficient thread to pull itself along. Then the adjusting screws allow the die to be compressed or expanded to accommodate slight variations in size, due to material, manufacture, or die sharpness. Maykestag also have die nuts line which also known as rethreading dies for cleaning up damaged threads, it has no split for resizing and are made from a hexagonal bar so that a wrench or shifter spanner can be used to turn them. Each tool is used independently, but are sold in paired sets of both types, one die and three taps. Some sets provide a lesser number of taps. Maykestag's craftmanship on making precision helical or spiral flute at given angle is also suitable for CNC machining tools, which employ die heads to make large volumes of threaded parts.
